The Support That Makes the
Fourth Trimester Feel Possible

A postpartum doula provides in-home care and support to families in the days and weeks after a baby is born.

While a nanny provides childcare, a postpartum doula is trained in newborn care, infant feeding (breast, bottle, and combination), postpartum recovery, sleep, and the emotional transition into parenthood. The difference is significant. Amber does not simply hold the baby so you can shower — she holds the whole family so you can actually heal.

She provides hands-on support so you can sleep, recover, and step into motherhood from a place of restoration — not depletion. She answers feeding questions at 3 AM. She notices the signs of postpartum mood changes before you name them. She makes sure your partner feels capable, not helpless.

The fourth trimester is one of the most vulnerable seasons of a woman’s life. It deserves more than survival. It deserves Amber.

What the Fourth Trimester
Looks Like With Amber

From overnight newborn care to emotional recovery support — everything Amber offers is designed to give you permission to actually rest.

Overnight Newborn Care

10-hour overnight shifts, 9 PM to 7 AM. Amber handles feedings, soothing, diaper changes, and all newborn care so you can sleep a full, uninterrupted stretch. You wake up rested. Not as a luxury — as a necessity for your recovery.

Feeding Support

All feeding methods are supported without judgment — breastfeeding, pumping, formula, or combination feeding. Amber offers guidance, latch and positioning support, paced bottle feeding techniques, and practical troubleshooting at whatever hour you need it.

Recovery & Wellness

Postpartum mood and wellness check-ins, recovery guidance, nutrition support, and a compassionate space to process your birth experience and transition into motherhood. Amber is trained to recognize the signs of postpartum anxiety and depression — and she knows how to help.

Whole-Family Support

Sibling coaching, partner support, and family transition guidance — because the fourth trimester affects everyone in the home. Amber helps partners feel capable and involved, and helps older siblings adjust to the arrival of someone new.

Overnight Care, Daytime Support,
or Both

Every family’s fourth trimester looks different. Amber works with you to build the arrangement that fits your actual needs — not a one-size-fits-all package.

Overnight Shifts

9 PM – 7 AM

Ideal for families whose primary need is sleep and nighttime newborn care. Amber takes over at 9 PM so you can go to bed — and stay there. She handles every feeding, every diaper, every 2 AM wake-up. You wake up at 7 AM to a morning that feels possible.

Daytime Support

Flexible Hours

Focuses on recovery, feeding, household rhythm, and emotional grounding. Daytime visits are ideal for processing your birth experience, getting hands-on feeding support, navigating the early weeks, and simply having an experienced, caring presence beside you when the days feel long.

Many families choose a combination of overnight and daytime shifts. One-time overnights, weekly recurring shifts, or full packages through week 8 are all available. Every arrangement is built around your specific needs — and figured out together during your free consultation.

Postpartum Doula Support Is
For Every New Family

Whether you are a first-time mother overwhelmed by the newness of it all, or a mother of multiple children navigating a growing family — postpartum doula support meets you where you are.

First-time mothers who want to feel supported and not alone during the most disorienting weeks of new parenthood.

Mothers of multiple children navigating the needs of a growing family while recovering and caring for a newborn.

Families recovering from a cesarean birth who need real, experienced support during the physical recovery process.

Families with NICU babies adjusting to life at home — navigating the emotional and physical complexity of that transition.

Families where feeding is a struggle — who need non-judgmental, experienced guidance rather than conflicting advice from the internet.

Any family that simply wants to step into parenthood from a place of rest and support — not exhaustion and overwhelm.

Amber does not arrive with a checklist or a script. She arrives with presence, experience, and the kind of care that makes you feel held rather than managed.

Fourth Trimester Luxury Package

Postpartum doula support with Amber starts at $4,500 for 10 overnight shifts — real, sustained care through the weeks that matter most.

In Her Own Words

From the very beginning, she brought a calm confidence that made me feel safe, informed, and truly supported. She never pushed, never judged — she simply met me exactly where I was and helped me believe in what my body was capable of, even in moments when I doubted it myself. There’s something incredibly powerful about having someone beside you who doesn’t just support you, but truly sees you. In my most vulnerable moments, she was my calm, my anchor, my steady reassurance that I wasn’t alone.

Postpartum Doula FAQs

What’s the difference between a postpartum doula and a night nurse?

A night nurse (or newborn care specialist) focuses primarily on the baby. A postpartum doula supports the whole family — the mother’s recovery, feeding, emotional wellbeing, partner adjustment, and sibling transition — in addition to newborn care. Amber is trained in all of the above. Her goal is never simply to manage the baby while you sleep — it is to help the entire family navigate the fourth trimester with confidence and care.

How many overnight shifts do I need?

Most families find that 10 shifts spread over 4–6 weeks provides meaningful rest and recovery. 20 shifts offers deeper, more sustained support through week 8. There is no single right answer — it depends on your birth experience, your recovery, your support system, and your baby. Amber will help you figure out what makes sense for your specific situation during your free consultation.

Can I book postpartum support even if I didn’t use Amber as my birth doula?

Absolutely. Postpartum support is available as a completely standalone service. Many of Amber’s postpartum clients found her after their birth experience and reached out specifically for fourth trimester support. You do not need to have worked with her previously — your fourth trimester matters on its own.

Is postpartum doula support FSA or HSA eligible?

It may be. Amber provides documentation and invoices with her NPI number to support your reimbursement claim. Confirm eligibility with your specific plan administrator, as coverage varies by plan. Many clients successfully use FSA/HSA funds to cover all or part of their package.

When should I book postpartum support?

As early as possible — ideally during your second or third trimester. Postpartum spots fill quickly because families often reach out urgently after birth, when they are already depleted and need help immediately. Securing your support in advance ensures Amber is available when you need her most. If you are already postpartum and reading this, it is still worth reaching out to check availability.

You Deserve to Rest.

The fourth trimester is not something to simply survive. Let Amber hold you through it — so you can show up for your baby, your family, and yourself from a place of genuine restoration.
