I have spent more than 20 years walking alongside families during some of the most tender and transformative moments of their lives. As a certified Labor and Postpartum Doula — and as a mother of six — I understand what it means to bring a child into the world. I have lived it, in all its beauty and complexity.
My approach is holistic, deeply personal, and rooted in the belief that every mother deserves to feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. I work with families throughout South Florida — including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Broward County, and Palm Beach County — and am available for travel births. Whether you are planning a hospital birth, a birth center experience, or something entirely your own, I am here to help you step into it with clarity and confidence.

Not every family needs continuous labor support — some need deep preparation. Birth coaching is personalized education, birth plan development, and mental and emotional readiness work, available as a single focused session or as ongoing support leading up to your birth. You choose what fits.

Labor doesn’t keep business hours — and neither does Amber. When your contractions begin, whether it’s midday or 2am, she comes to you. She stays by your side through every wave: managing the environment, supporting your partner, advocating for your wishes, and helping you stay grounded from early labor through the moment your baby is placed in your arms.
Becoming a mother changes everything — and no one should navigate that transformation alone. Postpartum coaching offers space to process your birth experience, build confidence in your new role, and create a rhythm that works for your whole family. Especially meaningful for first-time mothers and families welcoming additional children, this is grounded guidance for the emotional and practical realities of life after birth.

Recovery doesn’t pause after dark — and neither does Amber. The weeks after birth are sacred, and they require real, present support through the days and overnight hours that shape your fourth trimester. From hands-on newborn care and feeding support to recovery guidance, emotional grounding, and whole-family adjustment, Amber is there through the moments that matter most — so you can heal, sleep, and step into motherhood feeling genuinely held.
Overnight care a nanny isn’t trained to provide. Amber handles feedings, soothing, and newborn care while you sleep — so you wake up rested, not depleted.
One-time overnights or weekly shifts through week 8.
All services include prenatal education, birth plan support, and postpartum check-ins.
Doula services may be FSA/HSA eligible — Amber provides documentation with her NPI number. Confirm eligibility with your plan administrator.

How It Works
From your first conversation to the weeks after birth — here is what working together looks like.
A relaxed, no-pressure conversation — by phone or video — where we get to know each other, talk through your birth vision, and answer every question you have. No commitment required.
Once you decide Hummingbird is the right fit, we finalize your package, schedule prenatal sessions, and begin building your birth plan and postpartum care plan together.
Through prenatal sessions, Amber prepares you — body, mind, and home — for birth and the weeks that follow. Partners are welcomed and included every step of the way.
Amber is on call from 37 weeks onward. She is with you through labor, delivery, and into the postpartum window — checking in, supporting your recovery, and celebrating this new chapter alongside you.

A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor, birth, and/or postpartum. A midwife is a medical professional who manages clinical care. Doulas and midwives work beautifully together — we are always on the same team as your care providers.
Absolutely. Labor involves so much more than pain management — decisions, communication, emotional support, partner involvement, and the moments leading up to and after birth. Amber’s support is valuable no matter how you plan to birth.

When you are an on-call client (starting at 37 weeks), Amber is available 24/7. You call, she comes. That consistency and reliability is central to what she offers.
Doula services may be eligible for reimbursement through your FSA or HSA. Amber provides documentation and invoices with her NPI number. We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator, as coverage varies by plan.
Amber recommends booking between 12 and 28 weeks to ensure availability around your due date. Reach out as early as you can — spots are limited and fill quickly.
Hummingbird Birth + Life Doula packages start at $2,000 for birth support and $4,500 for postpartum overnight care. The Complete Journey — covering pregnancy through the fourth trimester — starts at $9,500. Flexible payment plans, Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm are all accepted. Many clients also use FSA/HSA funds.

With approximately 20 VBACs supported, Amber has deep experience in this space and understands exactly what VBAC families need to feel prepared and safe.
